Abstract
Flexible structures, such as solar panels, antennae, robot arms, aircraft, and space structures, are present everywhere. Modeling and control of flexible structures is thus an area of substantial importance. Flexlab is a two degree of freedom flexible structure that is controlled by a personal computer. It is useful in developing system identification techniques (SISO and MIMO) as well as providing a means by which SISO or MIMO control strategies for flexible structures can be tested.
