A1: Functional Prog. in OCaml

Part I: Sign up for Piazza

If you haven't already done so, sign up for Piazza: Course Page, Signup.

We'll be using Piazza for course announcements and homework discussion from now on. If you haven't signed up for Piazza by the due date for this assignment, you will lose points! (I really just want everyone to sign up for Piazza :-))

Part II: Complete the Exercises in intro2.ml

• Download intro2.ml and save it in a new directory (e.g., a0).
• Open the file in your favorite text editor and complete the exercises.
• As in A0, if you use Emacs you may want to install tuareg-mode for OCaml, which comes with nice features like syntax highlighting.
• To check that you've completed all the exercises, you can compile and run intro2.ml by doing:

    $ ocamlc.opt intro.ml
    $ ./a.out

  It's OK if your intro2.ml doesn't produce any output when run; we'll by testing by compiling and linking your file with a test harness. To ensure that grading goes smoothly, it is important however that you follow the instructions given in the file regarding the naming of functions, etc.
• Submit intro2.ml via Blackboard on or before 1:30pm on the due date.
