The web server used by EECS is Squirrelmail. Because it is a web interface, it is not as fast as other ways to access your email, but it will allow you to read and send mail and download attachments, when using a machine that is not configured to access your email any other way

SECURITY NOTE: Do not assume that your login password is secure just because the link to the server is encrypted. Open comuters, such as those found in airports/malls/internet cafe's can have various type of software had hardware keystroke recorders. Be aware of your environment, and if you have later have any doubts about the security of the machine you used, change your password at the earliest safe opertunity.
